Our English classes are unique because they try to immerse children in the world of English and the ‘adventure’ that the discovery of the new language and culture entails - a discovery drawing on both routines and unconventionality (you know, routines with a ‘twist’)!
What makes our classes special is that they combine games, movement, music, experimenting, storytelling, arts, crafts, and technology, all together! So, picture a class filled with four- and five-year-old pirates turning from fierce seamen to keen gardeners and then to painters, all set with their aprons and easels, and then back to little explorers, just before they switch to scientists or paleontologists setting off with their hot air balloons to destroy a magic piñata! And, to top it all, on our final stop, enter the best chefs in the world!
Students learn by using all their senses through approaches and methods that promote holistic and kinesthetic activation, such as S.P.I.C.E. and TPR. Lessons also integrate features of the Reggio Emilia approach while further adopting principles of the Play- & Inquiry- based Learning as well as the Original Learning Approach. In this context, children’s cognitive, emotional, and social skills are developed through creative forms of expression.
And even when it comes to primary school students where things get more ‘serious’ and the ‘notorious’ homework kicks in or the more challenging years of high school, we always find ways to actively engage our students and successfully prepare them for their exams!
