The second event in our series of open discussion with prominent Greek scientists
The Hellenic American Union presents a series of discussions with prominent Greek scientists who have significantly contributed to their discipline.
This evening’s event features:
- Manolis Georgoulis, senior researcher at the Research Center for Astronomy and Applied Mathematics of the Academy of Athens and specialist in heliophysics.
- Chryssa Kouveliotou, Professor of Physics at the George Washington University and member of the US National Academy of Sciences.
- Stamatis Krimigis, member of the Academy of Athens, supervisor of the Office of Space Research and Technology and principal investigator on NASA Voyager 1 and 2 spacecrafts.
The speakers will discuss topics such as space exploration, the sun, the Voyager missions, and the James Webb space telescope.
Journalist-author Makis Provatas will coordinate the discussion.
