This 20-hour online Business English course will help you pursue your professionals goals with confidence in English. It will allow you to convey professionalism during your job search stage and to increase your credibility as a newcomer in a professional environment. More specifically, this course will help you:
- Understand the difference between academic and business communicaton and refresh your English
- Gain the skills necessary to demonstrate your expertise and suitability for a role in your CV and during an interview
- Write and speak the corporate English language with confidence.
The course is taught through Zoom in small groups of up to 12 people.
Crafting Effective CVs and Cover Letters
- Focus on structure, key skills, achievements and tailoring applications to job descriptions.
Preparing for Interviews
- Common interview questions, techniques for answering confidently, pitching and basic interview etiquette.
Building a Professional Online Presence
- Optimizing a LinkedIn profile, networking strategies, and maintaining professionalism online.
Understanding Corporate Etiquette and Onboarding Processes
- Workplace behavior, company culture basics and tips for a smooth onboarding experience.
Mastering Professional Introductions and Networking
- Introducing oneself confidently, handling networking events and building connections.
Telephone Communication Skills
- Basics for answering calls, leaving messages, and handling inquiries—ideal for entry-level roles.
Writing Clear and Professional Emails
- Fundamentals of email structure, tone, and clarity for common business communications.
Common Business Abbreviations and Terms
- Understanding frequently used abbreviations (e.g., KPI, ROI) and industry-specific jargon.
Presentation Skills
- Covering basic structure, speaking techniques and confidence-building for a first job.
You can register up to three days before the start date of the program if there are still available places. Add the program to the shopping basket. The first time you place an order you need to register. Then, you fill out your personal details and you select an invoice or receipt to be issued. Then you must pay the tuition fee. Payment is available by: a) debit, prepaid, or credit card (interest-free installments will be visible if available), b) Bank payment ID (RF Code), that you can use to pay at the bank or via ebanking, or c) IRIS and direct debiting your bank account.
