Dimitris Pefanis

Dimitris Pefanis, an award-winning journalist and executive with 20+ years of experience in digital media, is the Director of CNN.GR,  at DPG Group, one of the largest digital media groups in Greece, with CNN.Greece and Newsbomb website among its network.

He studied Communication and Mass Media at Panteion University and holds a Master's degree in New Media Journalism from Emerson College in the United States. He has worked as a journalist in Greece and the United States covering technology, economics and digital media, among other topics.

He started his career in 1998 at the Lambrakis Group and in 2007 he dedicated himself to digital media, starting as editor-in-chief of the digital edition of the newspaper (tanea.gr), and in 2011 he took over the management of IN.GR, one of the first and "legendary" web portals in Greece. In 2015 until 2020 he became the General Manager of Insider.gr, one of the most important financial sites in the country.

Ever since 1992 when he entered the web, he spends more time online than offline. In 2012 he was awarded the Citigroup Group's Journalistic Excellence Award for best business reporting.

Dimitris is an instructor in the Certificate in Digital Marketing of the Hellenic American Union.
