The Hellenic American Union Center for Examinations and Certifications offers Methodology Workshops and Webinars for Language School Owners and language teachers at a cost. These workshops and webinars focus on teaching practices which help students better acquire English as a Foreign Language. In this manner, the Hellenic American Union aims to prepare language teachers more effectively for the English-language examinations it administers.
All workshops and webinars have been designed to introduce participants to fundamental principles and important techniques in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. Workshop participants will have the additional opportunity to plan and teach activities or parts of lessons to their peers using examination materials they will need to adapt.

Mock examinations for students preparing for the ECCE and ECPE
Upon request, the Hellenic American Union Center for Examinations and Certifications offers the opportunity to students preparing for the ECCE and ECPE to participate in respective mock examinations. In this manner, the Hellenic American Union gives perspective ECCE and ECPE candidates the opportunity to prepare better and more effectively for the Michigan Language Assessment examinations it administers.
The specific service is offered to Michigan Language Assessment examinations stakeholders in addition to the other services offered by the Hellenic American Union Center for Examinations and Certifications.
What kinds of mock examinations are offered?
Mock examinations comprise administration of the following ECCE and ECPE sections:
- ECCE: Listening and GVR
- ECPE: Listening and GCVR
What kinds of materials are used during the mock examinations?
- Materials used for the mock examinations are authentic; they have been developed by Michigan Language Assessment.
- Mock examinations materials are different from any examinations materials used during actual examinations.
- Mock examinations materials are secure and confidential, exactly as materials used during actual examinations.
How are the mock examinations administered?
Mock examinations are administered by the Hellenic American Union Center for Examinations and Certifications exactly as real examinations, in terms of all procedures involved (duration, instructions, seating, etc).
When and where are the mock examinations administered? At what cost?
- Mock examinations are administered on specific dates, in accordance with real ECCE and ECPE administrations dates.
- Mock examinations are administered in Athens and Thessaloniki at the Hellenic American Union premises or other suitable venues.

Who can participate in the mock examinations?
Participation in the mock examinations is open to all students preparing for the ECCE or ECPE, either individually or by attending examination-preparation courses.
What are the benefits for students who participate in the mock examinations?
Participating in the ECCE or ECPE mock examinations benefits students in several ways:
- They become familiar with the actual format and general content of the ECCE or ECPE Listening and G(C)VR sections.
- They gain experience in participating in high-stakes mock examinations before they take the actual test.
- They receive detailed written feedback on their performance; they can use the feedback individually or in cooperation with their teachers to focus on areas that require further improvement. Participants should know that their performance in mock examinations in no way guarantees similar performance in the same actual examinations.

Academic Support Blended Service for Foreign Language Schools
The Hellenic American Union Center for Examinations and Certifications offers a blended package of Academic Support Services to Language School Owners at a special cost consisting of the following:
2 Mock examinations
The Hellenic American Union Center for Examinations and Certifications offers 2 Mock examinations (all sections/papers) for students preparing for Michigan Language Assessment and Hellenic American University Exams with personalized feedback and performance analysis per participant.
The 1st mock examination is offered as a diagnostic tool and gives the teacher the opportunity to look into the problematic areas of the student’s performance.
The 2nd mock examination serves as a more indicative tool of the student’s performance in the final exam since it’s taken a month before the examination is administered.
Students are advised to participate in the free-of-charge Workshops for Students that the Hellenic American Union Center for Examinations and Certifications offers to prospective candidates (scheduled on set dates at the Hellenic American Union premises or upon request at the Foreign Language School’s premises).
Methodology Workshops for Teachers
The Hellenic American Union Center for Examinations and Certifications offers Methodology Workshops for Language School Owners and language teachers at the premises of the Hellenic American Union and at FL Schools based in Athens at a cost.
These workshops focus on teaching practices which help students better acquire English as a Foreign Language. In this manner, the Hellenic American Union aims to prepare language teachers more effectively for the English-language examinations it administers.
