The exams administered by the Hellenic American Union are scored by the test developers under strict quality control conditions. These measures ensure the accuracy and validity of the results.
However, you can arrange to have your exam rescored, if you wish, for a fee and within the timeframe set by the test developer. There are two stages in the rescoring process: 1) a clerical check to verify that your exam papers were correctly processed and 2) a rescoring of all your written papers.
Stage 1: Full clerical re-check
At this stage, Cambridge University Press & Assessment checks that your exam has been correctly processed to make sure there have been no mistakes when calculating your final grade. Your exam papers are not re-marked at this stage. To request this service:
- Submit the rescoring request form, requesting a full clerical re-check of all papers of the examination you participated in.
- We send your request to Cambridge University Press & Assessment.
- You receive the result via email once the clerical re-check procedure is complete. You can, then, decide whether to proceed with the second stage of the rescoring process.
Please note that when you submit the rescoring request form, you can request both services (clerical re-check and re-marking) together or you can wait for the results of the re-check and then submit the form again to request a full re-mark.
Stage 2: Full re-mark of all papers
At this stage, Cambridge University Press & Assessment carries out a re-mark of all written papers. Stage 2 rescoring includes a review of the listening paper where available but does not apply to any speaking test component. To request Stage 2 rescoring (re-marking of papers), you must first request and receive your Stage 1 results (clerical re-check) before proceeding with the Stage 2 rescoring request.
- After receiving the Stage 1 results, if you didn't select both services in your initial submission, submit the rescoring request form, again to request a full re-mark of your papers.
- We send your request to Cambridge University Press & Assessment.
- You receive the result via email once the full re-mark procedure is complete.
Deadline for scoring requests
You must submit the rescoring request forms by the specific deadline, depending on when you took the exams. We cannot accept rescoring requests beyond this date. For more information, check the table below:
