Lost certificates cannot be reissued if more than twenty-four (24) months have passed since the exam date. The service is provided free of charge as long as you submit a relevant request along with the required documents within twelve (12) months from the date of the written examination. If you submit the request between twelve (12) and twenty-four (24) months from the date of the written examination, administrative fees apply. If you have arranged for your certificate to be reissued, the service will be processed within one and a half (1.5) to two (2) months.

If you need to have your certificate reissued or a certification of loss issued, please submit in person (Massalias 22, 10680, Athens, 9 am to 5 pm) or send to certificates@hau.gr the following:
In person submission:
- Identity card, passport or any other legal identification document (e.g., a driver’s license or identity certificate -“tautoprosopia”- containing a photograph stamped by a Public Authority).
- Declaration Form of Law 1599/1986. You will need to verify the authenticity of your signature on the form at a police station or a Citizen Service Center (ΚΕΠ). Alternatively, you can arrange for a digital authentication of your signature electronically through gov.gr.
Submission via email:
- The application form completed and signed.

Time limitation for re-issued certificates
If more than twenty-four (24) months have passed since the exam date, your certificate cannot be reissued. However, you can request a certifying statement. To arrange for a certifying statement to be issued, send to certificates@hau.gr the following:
- The application form completed and signed.

Cambridge University Press & Assessment will issue the certifying statement in approximately fifteen (15) days. You can either pick it up in person (from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, at the Results and Certifications Office, Massalias 22, 10680, Athens) or have it shipped to you.
You can have someone else collect the document (certifying statement, certification of loss, or reissued certificate) for you, in which case, the following documents are required:
- If the person collecting the certification is a first-degree relative (parent, sibling, or child), they will need to present their own ID in addition to all documents mentioned above.
- If the person is not a first-degree relative, they will need to present their own ID, letter of authorization via gov.gr in addition to all documents mentioned above.
Please note that if the candidate is a minor, we require a photocopy of both the candidate's ID and the ID of the candidate’s parent or guardian who is granting the authorization.
