The movie holds the record for the most Oscar nominations, with 14, a record it shares to this day with Titanic and La La Land. Directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz, the film won a total of 6 Academy Awards: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Sound, and Best Costume Design.

The story centers around Margo Channing (Bette Davis), an acclaimed stage actress who begins to feel the weight of her age.
