The annual series of lectures by the renowned theoretician of photography, Platon Rivellis, continues for the 19th consecutive year.
This year, the theme of the lectures is Art and Religion
For the second time in the lectures, the scope will be focused on the relationship between art and religion with emphasis on photography and cinema. During the lectures, Platon Rivellis will showcase photos by renowned photographers as well as by members of the “Photography Circle” to analyze the notion of “photography” and provide a starting point for further exploring their oeuvre.
The lectures take place online through the web platform Zoom and cover a total of ten hours spanned in 5 days, beginning on Wednesdays October 9,16, 23 and 30, 2024 from 19:00 to 21:00.
After registering for the course, you will receive an email with the ID and password you will use to log on to the Zoom platform. Please download the Zoom application (free of charge) and sign in before the lecture begins.
